Stammen Insurance has been in Mercer County since 1919. Mr. Stammen talked about personal, business, life and health insurance and majority of time spent on money saving tips.

Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources Park Manager Speaks to CBI Students
Tri Star CBI classes would like to thank Ohio Department of Natural Resources Park Manager Mr. David Faler for coming in today to discuss how to become a park ranger.
Also discussed were appropriate skills and responsibilities that a park ranger has each day. Students asked many questions about Grand Lake St. Marys, water levels, fish in the lake and what's being done to clean the lake.

ODOT Visits CBI Class
Celina Tri Star CBI students heard first hand about many opportunities that exist at the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Tri Star would like to thank Jane Meier, Louis Mertz and Joel Etgen all employees of ODOT for speaking to our CBI students and explaining what they do and many careers that are available.
Today's students have many career opportunities that don't require a four year degree! Parents, please do your homework and research!!

Tyler Ross, Entrepreneur with Hometown Co.
Tri Star Career Compact CBI student Tyler Ross, a Celina High School student, has been learning about entrepreneurship and small business start up this year and putting it to good use with first hand experience.
Tyler is working with his parents in developing a screen print & apparel business called Hometown Co.
They are currently in the startup phase and Tyler has been able to help with preparation and installation of equipment.
He also helps with preparing screens and printing shirts, but has recently started exploring the design process.
This has been a great learning experience for Tyler in entrepreneurship and small business leadership as he studies this in CBI.

Tri Star Career Compact Students Kaylee Weadock and Junior Mejia were recognized at the Darke, Auglaize, Mercer “Twenty Under Twenty” Banquet held at Romers in St. Henry, Ohio.
These outstanding students were honored for their accomplishments and for having worked collaboratively through career training and other career development activities.
Tri Star CBI student Junior Mejia received an Outstanding Performance and Positive Attitude award from Ferguson Enterprises in Celina. We are very proud of Junior and what he has accomplished as a Tri Star CBI student!

The purpose of this honor and initiative is to connect education and business to help secure a skilled workforce. Our region has witnessed a shortage of skilled workers and this group is working to encourage and support mentoring, part-time work, job shadowing, internships, co-op programs and other business partnerships.

Junior Mejia at Ferguson Distribution Center
Tri Star Career Based Intervention (CBI) student Junior Mejia is gaining valuable work experience while working at the Ferguson Distribution Center in Celina.
In addition, Junior completed the evening adult welding program last year. Gaining skills and work experience for the future is possible for high school students through Tri Star!

Tri Star Career Compact CBI class would like to thank Mr. Bill Martin, President & CEO from Mercer Savings Bank, for talking to students about many opportunities in the banking industry.
